How to flush you water heater

Water heaters can build up a lot of sediment in the bottom and if you don't flush it out it can flow into your faucets and clog them!

How to flush your water heater.

  1. turn your power off to your water heater you can usually find this at the breaker panel labeled water heater.

  2. Run a water hose out of house and hook up to drain at the bottom.

  3. Open the drain at bottom and test to make sure your connection isn't leaking then open it while the water is still on to force out the sediment let it to continue to flush for 5 min until the water starts coming out it clear.

  4. Turn drain off and disconnect hose

  5. Flip your breaker back on to the water heater.
